Auf dem Gelände eines alten Güterbahnhofs in Esslingen entsteht ein 120.000 Quadratmeter großes, klimaneutrales Quartier. Kern ist ein zukunftsorientiertes ganzheitliches Energiekonzept mit vernetzten Energieanlagen und einem Forschungsprojekt zur Erzeugung und Nutzung von grünem Wasserstoff. Als eines von sechs Pilotprojekten wird das Quartier im Rahmen des BMWi Förderschwerpunktes „Solares Bauen / Energieeffiziente Stadt“ mit einem Fördervolumen in Höhe von rund 12 Millionen Euro unterstützt.
The exhibitions are produced by UMoMA in collaboration with artists and museums around the world and they often attract international attention. UMoMA has received a Special Commendation from the European Museum of the Year, and was among the top candidates for the Swedish Museum of the Year Award as well as for the Council of Europe Museum Prize.
